During the reign of Emperor Wen of Wei in the Huangchu era, the mother of Song Shizong from Qinghe suddenly turned into a turtle and disappeared into the water. This was no ordinary turtle; it was an omen! Furthermore, in the third year of Emperor Taihe, a peasant girl named Qiu Xi, who was under Cao Xiu's command, died and came back to life. At that time, someone opened an ancient Zhou Dynasty tomb and found a buried woman who started breathing after a few days. Although she couldn't speak for months, Empress Dowager Guo took good care of her. Additionally, in Taiyuan, someone dug up a grave, opened the coffin, and found a living woman inside. When asked what happened, she didn't know herself, but based on the tombstone, she had likely been dead for thirty years. This brings to mind the saying from Jing Fang's "Yi Zhuan": "Yin becomes Yang, the lower becomes the upper." Isn't this reminiscent of the omen surrounding Emperor Xuan of Han's ascension? Similar strange occurrences were reported during the reigns of Emperor Ping and Emperor Xian of Han, which were interpreted as omens of Wang Mang and Cao Cao rising to power. In the fourth year of Yong'an during Sun Xiu's reign, a man named Chen Jiao from Anwu died and came back to life after seven days, crawling out of his grave. Gan Bao said: "This is reminiscent of the events during Emperor Xuan of Han's reign. Marquis of Wucheng, Hao, inherited the legacy of the deposed emperor; this is an auspicious sign for his ascension to the throne!" In the first year of Baoding under Sun Hao, Xuan Qian's 80-year-old mother from Danyang transformed into a giant softshell turtle while bathing. Her two sons quickly closed the door to protect her. They dug a large hole in the hall, filled it with water, and the turtle went in to play. For a day or two, it kept stretching its neck to look outside. As soon as the door cracked open, it turned around and jumped out by itself, running to a distant pool and never returning. This was akin to what happened to Lady Huang during Emperor Ling of Han's reign; both were ominous signs of the nation's impending doom!

In the second year of the Xianxi reign of Emperor Yuan of Wei, in August, a giant was seen in Xiangwu County, more than three zhang tall, with footprints three feet two inches long, white and fluffy hair, wearing a yellow headscarf and yellow robe, leaning on a staff, shouting the name "Wang Shi" and saying, "Now there will be peace!" Shortly after, the Jin dynasty replaced the Wei. In the fifth year of the Taishi reign of Emperor Wu, a seventy-year-old man in Yuancheng grew horns. This likely signaled Zhao Wang Lun's usurpation of power. In December of the second year of Xianning, a man named Yan Ji from Langye died of illness. The coffin had already been buried, but his family dreamed that Yan Ji said, "I am coming back to life, quickly open the coffin!" So the family opened the coffin, and Yan Ji gradually regained the ability to eat, move, and see, but he still couldn't speak. Two years later, he died again. Jing Fang's "Yi Zhuan" says, "The deepest yin transforms into yang, the lower becomes the upper, the evil person dies and comes back to life." Later, Liu Yuanhai and Shi Le rebelled, and the Eastern Jin dynasty fell. Isn't this a fulfillment of the idea that "the lower becomes the upper"? During the Yuan Kang period of Emperor Hui, there was a woman named Zhou Shining in Anfeng who gradually became more masculine at the age of eight, and by the age of seventeen or eighteen, her character was completely masculine. Jing Fang's "Yi Zhuan" says, "When a woman becomes a man, it is called yin dominance and yang decline, and a person of low status becomes an emperor." Zhou Shining's transformation also foreshadowed the rebellion of Liu Yuanhai, Shi Le, and other treacherous figures who would rise up in arms and overthrow the world! During the Yongning period, Prince Qi Jiong, claiming to act righteously, killed rebels and supported the emperor's return to Luoyang. At this time, a woman suddenly ran to the gate of the Grand Marshal's mansion, claiming she needed to leave her child there. When the gatekeeper asked her what was happening, she said, "I will leave after giving birth." At that time, Prince Qi Jiong had just helped quell the rebellion, and everyone credited him, but some wise observers found him unreliable. Ultimately, Prince Qi Jiong was killed shortly after.

In the first year of Yongning, on the Jiazi day in December, an old man with white hair burst into the Grand Marshal's residence of King Qijiong, shouting loudly: "Great soldiers are going to rebel; it will happen within ten days!" King Qijiong had him executed. As a result, on the Wuchen day in the following December, King Qijiong was indeed defeated in battle, which fell exactly ten days after the Jiazi day!

In the first year of Tai'an, on the Guiyou day in April, a man claiming to have come from Longmen ran to the palace entrance, knelt down facing north, and said: "I should be appointed as the Minister of the Zhongshu." He was executed immediately after making this claim. Gan Bao said: "The palace is a forbidden place, heavily guarded, yet this person was able to easily break in without the guards noticing at all. This indicates that the palace is about to become vulnerable, and a disaster where the lower class will surpass the upper class is about to come!" Later, the emperor subsequently moved the capital to Ye City, then to Chang'an, and indeed the palace fell into disarray.

During the Yuan Kang period, a woman in the Liang Kingdom was betrothed to someone and had already received the betrothal gifts. However, her husband went to Chang'an to serve in the army and did not return for several years. Her family arranged for her to marry another man. Despite her unwillingness, her parents forced her into marriage, and she had no choice but to go. Not long after, she fell ill and died. Later, her husband returned and inquired about his wife's whereabouts; his family told him what had happened. Heartbroken, he dug up her grave, and to his astonishment, his wife was miraculously alive! The couple returned home hand in hand. Later, the ex-husband learned of this and reported it to the authorities, but the officials were at a loss. The secretary Wang Dao said: "This is an extremely rare occurrence and cannot be judged by common reasoning; she should be returned to her ex-husband." The court accepted his counsel.

During the reign of Emperor Hui, a maidservant in the Du household passed away. Since the family was busy with funeral arrangements at the time, they could not bury her promptly. Ten years later, the family reopened the coffin for reburial, and to their astonishment, the maid was miraculously alive! At first, she appeared to be asleep, and after a while, she woke up and, when asked what had happened, she felt as if she had only been asleep for two days. She was fifteen or sixteen years old when buried, and when dug up again, she still looked like a fifteen or sixteen-year-old. Eventually, she married and had children.

In the first year of the Guangxi era, there was a child born in Kuaiji named Xie Zhen, who had a very large head, long hair, and feet turned upward. Moreover, the child was of both male and female traits, and upon birth, emitted a male voice, but died within a day. This indicates that the emperor's virtue was insufficient, and the signs of the lower class rising against the upper class had already begun to show, which is why the princes showed signs of usurpation.

During Emperor Hui's reign, there were also individuals in the Jingluo region who were of both male and female traits, able to engage with both men and women, and their behavior was particularly licentious, due to the chaos of the times. Beginning from the years of Xian Ning and Tai Kang, male favorites became prevalent, even surpassing the affection for women, with scholars and officials eagerly pursuing them, causing people everywhere to follow suit, which even resulted in divorces and growing resentments between couples. Thus, the dynamics between men and women became disordered, and strange phenomena emerged.

In the first year of Emperor Huai's Yongjia era, a maid named Wan Xiang from Wu County in Wu Commandery gave birth to a child with the head of a bird, hooves like a horse, just one hand, no hair, and a tail as big as a pillow. This was also a sign of a human anomaly, indicating that great chaos was about to occur in the world.

In May of the fifth year of Yongjia, a prostitute of the county magistrate Yan Gen in Fuhan gave birth to a dragon, a girl, and a goose. The "Yi Zhuan" by Jing Fang states: "The birth of non-human beings is a sign of impending large-scale wars." At that time, the emperor took over the throne from Emperor Hui, and soon found himself trapped in Pingyang and killed by the Hu; all of this was a bad omen.

In the fourth year of the Min Emperor Jianxing, the wife of Ren Qiao, an official from Xincai County, gave birth to two daughters. Their abdomens and hearts were connected, but were separated above the chest and below the navel. This was an unprecedented and bizarre phenomenon! At that time, Neishi Lu Hui submitted a report: "According to the records of 'Rui Ying Tu', trees with different roots but growing together are called 'Lian Li Zhi', and rice plants with different strains but the same ear are called 'Jia He'. The abnormal phenomenon of plants and trees is considered auspicious; now that two people are of the same mind and heart, the 'Book of Changes' states, 'When two people are of one mind, their strength can break metal.' This should be an auspicious sign of the world being of the same mind and heart!" People at the time mocked him. Soon after, the world fell apart, and the emperor lost his country.

In the early years of the Yuan Emperor Taixing, there was a woman with her genitals located on her abdomen, below the navel. She came from the Central Plains to Jiangdong, was promiscuous yet unable to conceive. There was also a woman who was promiscuous, with her genitals on her head, at the ferry terminal in Yangzhou. According to Jing Fang's 'Yi Yao': "If a child is born with genitals on their head, it foretells chaos in the world; if on the abdomen, major events will occur in the world; if on the back, there will be no descendants." At that time, Wang Dun occupied the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and was preparing to rebel; these were all omens!

In December of the third year, the daughter of Zou Xie Ping, the Shangshu's wife, was born, and the child cried loudly as soon as she was born, but died shortly after. Strangely, her nose and eyes were on the top of her head, her face seemed to be attached to her neck, she had teeth in her mouth all connected, her chest was like a turtle shell, and her fingers and toes had nails like bird claws, all bent downwards. This was truly a monster, unlike anything a normal person could ever see. Two years later, the defeat of Shitou occurred.

After some years, in July of the second year of the Ming Emperor Taiping, the wife of Ji, the Duke of Danyang Jiangning, died, only to come back to life three days later! This was indeed a remarkable event.

Let's talk about the events of April in the fifth year of Emperor Cheng’s Xiankang era. There was a man named Wang He from Xiapi. His daughter, Ke'er, who was twenty years old, claimed to be heavenly and said she had received a heavenly seal and official stamp, wanting to become the mother of the world. The prefect of Jinling deemed her a demon and arrested her. In November, a man carrying a staff made of mulberry wood and wearing crimson clothes ran to the gates of the imperial palace, claiming to be a sage sent to see the emperor. When asked his name, he identified himself as Lv Ci, and he also said that there were seven stars beneath the right foot of Wang He's daughter, Ke'er, each with hair and seven inches long, and heaven intended to appoint her as the mother of the world. This matter was reported to the emperor, and both Ke'er and Lv Ci were killed.

In the tenth month of the second year of the Jianyuan era of Emperor Kang, General Yinguo found a woman at the Chen Du Female Platform with the words "Mother of the World" inscribed on her feet. After burning it, the inscription became even clearer. The news caused a stir in the capital, and the authorities arrested her and prepared to report the incident to the court. However, she quickly escaped from the prison in Jiankang. The following year, the emperor passed away, and the Empress Dowager assumed control, which was probably a sign.

During the Ningkang period of Emperor Xiaowu, there was a woman named Tang in Nanjunzhou Ling who gradually transformed into a man.

In the seventh year of the Yixi era of Emperor An, there was a man named Zhao in Wuxi who suddenly shot up to eight feet tall and grew a beard at just eight years old, but died three days later.

During the Yixi era, a family surnamed Mo in Dongyang gave birth to a daughter who was not cared for and buried for several days. But then, the sound of a baby crying emerged from the ground, and they dug her up and raised her, and she miraculously survived.

Towards the end of the Yixi era, in Eryang Road in Wuping, Yuzhang, there were continuous births.

In the first year of Emperor Gongxi's Yuanxi era, there was a place called Yangdao in Jian'an, where a headless child was born. It was bizarre, possessing a normal body but no head, yet it thrived and resembled a woman.
