In May of the year 327 AD, one of Minister Wang Dao's sheep gave birth to a lamb without legs, and that was not a good omen! The ancient book "Jingfang Yizhuan" states: "Having a form but not taking shape indicates that the people below cannot bear heavy responsibilities." Sure enough, the following year, Su Jun attacked the capital, and Wang Dao, along with the emperor, found themselves trapped in Stone City, nearly losing their lives—this was indeed a prophecy fulfilled!

During the reign of Gongsun Wuyi, a strange piece of flesh appeared in the northern market of Xiangping, measuring several feet long, with a head and mouth but no hands or feet, and it could move. This was a very ominous sign! The fortune-tellers said: "It has a form but does not take shape, it has a body but does not make a sound; the nation is doomed!" Not long after, Gongsun Wuyi was killed by the state of Wei.

In the state of Wu, the general Deng Xi killed pigs to offer sacrifices to the deities. After the sacrifice, he hung up the pork and suddenly saw a human head eating the meat. Deng Xi quickly drew his bow and shot it, and that thing let out a strange cry, circling around the house for three days—this too seemed like an ominous sign! Later, someone reported Deng Xi for plotting a rebellion, and his entire family was killed. "Jingfang Yizhuan" says: "Red grass appears on the mountain, the river flows into the city, there are soldiers in the city, shaped like a human head, and it is red." This was almost identical to Deng Xi's incident!

On the day of Renzi in April of the year 284 AD, the waters of the pond in the state of Lu turned a bloody red. In October of the year 287, red snow fell in Heyin, spreading over an area of two hectares. These were all bad omens! Four years later, the emperor passed away, and the royal family fell into chaos.

In March of the year 299 AD, blood flowed in Lvxian, extending over a hundred paces—this was another ominous sign! By the end of the Yuan Kang era, the world was in chaos, with bloody corpses everywhere, fulfilling the previous omens. Gan Bao said: "Eight years later, Feng Yun rebelled in Xuzhou, killing tens of thousands," which also came true!

In March 300 AD, there was a blood rain in Wushi. If the country's politics were clear and the laws were lenient, there would be auspicious signs, but now, this strange phenomenon has appeared. In the first month of this year, the Crown Prince was imprisoned in Xuchang Palace. It seemed like the heavens were warning that evil should not be tolerated, and as a result, the Crown Prince met an unjust death. Emperor Hui was incompetent and failed to grasp this lesson, and the Crown Prince died in that month. From then on, the royal family was rife with conflicts, and chaos spread throughout the country. On the day King Qi was killed by Nao Chi, blood rain fell from the sky, dyeing his clothes red. This was a warning from the heavens! Is this the situation being described? The "Jing Fang Yi Zhuan" states, "Being imprisoned without clear explanation is an investigation of guilt. Blood rain falling from the sky indicates a lack of harmony between ruler and subject, with some harboring treacherous intentions. Within three years, his family will be destroyed." It also says, "When villains gain high positions and rewards while loyal subjects are killed, it is a sign of blood rain from the heavens."

In December 264 AD, an earthquake occurred in the Hedong region, and there was also a rain of flesh. Four years later, on the day of Bingyin in December, the Chief Minister's office killed the official in charge of transportation, Chen Yu Bo, and blood reportedly flowed upwards, spraying onto the pillar, soaring to a height of two zhang and three chi! This is certainly an ominous sign!

At that time, General Chu Pou was stationed in Guangling, and the Chancellor threatened to launch a northern expedition. Chunyu Bo was sentenced to death under military law for transportation delays and corruption. Before his death, he cried out, "The transportation tasks were all completed without any delay. I accepted bribes and abused my power, but my crimes do not deserve the death penalty! In warfare, it’s all about seizing the initiative and creating a show of force; in reality, it’s merely about garrisoning troops without any real intent to engage. Transportation has been at a standstill for the past four years, yet the court has failed to adhere to the principles of military engagement." None of his colleagues came to his defense. Later on, circumstances shifted, and the Inspector lodged accusations against numerous officials, but the Emperor ignored it, which led to three consecutive years of severe drought. Gan Bao believed that it was the restless spirit of Chunyu Bo that was to blame. Guo Jingchun said, "Blood is a type of water, both of which are represented by the 'Kan' hexagram in the I Ching. 'Kan' represents law and water flows downward; it should not flow against the current. This suggests that there are fundamental flaws in the court's policies."

In the first month of the year 304 AD, an earthquake occurred in Pingyang. Chongming Temple collapsed into a large pit, and the water in the pit was as red as blood. Red gas billowed into the sky, and a red dragon swiftly darted away. A meteor streaked from the vicinity of Altair and landed near the Purple Star, twisting like a dragon, casting its light upon the earth, and finally landing ten miles north of Pingyang City. When people looked closer, they saw it was a massive piece of flesh, giving off a stench that permeated the whole city of Pingyang. The piece of flesh measured thirty steps long and twenty-seven steps wide. Crying could be heard constantly from beside the flesh, day and night. Not long after, Liu Cong's wife gave birth to a snake and a wild beast, both of which attacked people before fleeing. People searched high and low until they finally found them beside the fallen flesh. At that time, Liu Cong took Liu Yin's three daughters as wives, all of whom were crowned queens. It seemed the heavens were warning him: you bear the Liu name, and all three queens are also of the Liu clan, which violates the natural rules of kinship, upsetting the moral order. The fallen flesh and those creatures brought immense calamities. Not long after, Liu Cong's queen Liu passed away, and the weeping came to an end.
