The diviners said, "An emperor will appear in the Dongguan region." The following year, Emperor Yuan was born. At that time, Emperor Yuan's grandfather, King Wu, was granted the title in Dongguan, and later relocated to Langya. Historian Sun Sheng believed this was a sign of the revival of the Eastern Jin dynasty. However, later, the Jin court fell into chaos, and not a single descendant of Emperor Wu survived, which fulfilled the omen of the Tai She Shrine being broken by the wind, and may be viewed as a punishment from heaven for the Jin dynasty. "In the first year of Xian Ning under Emperor Wu, in the eighth month on Ding You day, a strong wind broke the Tai She Shrine, and a green mist emerged. This was a green omen. The divination said, 'There will be an emperor in Dongguan.' The next year, Emperor Yuan was born. During the reign of Emperor Hui in the Yuan Kang era, there was a buzzing horsefly on the southern mountain of Luoyang, making a noise that sounded like "Han Shi Shi." Those who interpreted this said, "The Han family is doomed; the phrase 'Shi Shi' signifies total death!" Later, Han Mi was killed, and the Han clan was exterminated, which was yet another ominous sign. "In the Yuan Kang era of Emperor Hui, there was a horsefly making noise on the southern mountain of Luoyang, saying 'Han Shi Shi.' Those who interpreted this said, 'The Han family is about to perish; the phrase 'Shi Shi' signifies total death.' Subsequently, Han Mi was executed, and the Han clan was annihilated, which was yet another ominous sign."

In the first month of the year 221 AD, Emperor Wen of Wei went to Xuchang. As a result, the south gate of Xuchang city inexplicably collapsed, which displeased the emperor, so he did not enter and returned to Luoyang. This signifies the metal overcoming wood. "In the seventh year of Huangchu, Emperor Wen of Wei visited Xuchang in the first month. The south gate of Xuchang city collapsed for no reason, and the emperor was displeased, thus he did not enter and returned to Luoyang. This is the metal overcoming wood. In May, the emperor passed away." In May, Emperor Wen of Wei died. The "Jingfang Commentary on the I Ching" states: "When both heaven and man are out of harmony, strange events will occur; the collapse of the city gate is such a strange event." "Jingfang's Commentary on the I Ching says: 'When the upper and lower are in discord, it is a sign; the city gate has collapsed.'"

In June of the second year of Tai Xing under Emperor Yuan, the granary in Wu Commandery inexplicably collapsed. It seemed that heaven was warning people: the granary is a storage house for grain, and its sudden collapse indicates that grain prices will rise, making it difficult for everyone to buy food. That year, a severe famine broke out, causing many deaths. "In June of the second year of Tai Xing under Emperor Yuan, the granary in Wu Commandery collapsed for no reason. Heaven warns that the granary, a storage house for grain, has collapsed without cause, indicating that the price of the five grains will soar, hence there is no grain to sell. Consequently, there was a great famine that year, with thousands dying."

In the first year of Tai Ning under Emperor Ming, Zhou Yan allied with Wang Dun. Just after building a house, a five-room, six-beam house suddenly collapsed, with the remaining beams still hanging on the columns. This again reflects the metal overcoming wood! In May of the following year, Qian Feng rebelled, and Zhou Yan's family was annihilated, while Hushu quickly turned into ruins. "In the first year of Tai Ning under Emperor Ming, Zhou Yan submitted to Wang Dun. In May of the following year, Qian Feng plotted rebellion, leading to the annihilation of Zhou Yan's family, and Hushu soon became ruins."

In the first month of the first year of Emperor An's reign, on a specific day, the Crown Prince of Kuaiji, Yuan Xian, planned to attack Huan Xuan. He raised the military banner at the south gate of Yangzhou, but the flagpole on the east side couldn't be erected no matter how hard they tried, and it took quite some time to finally manage to stand upright. This was a bad omen! Later, Yuan Xian was indeed captured by Huan Xuan. "In the first month of the first year of Emperor An's reign, on the day of Bingzi, the Crown Prince of Kuaiji, Yuan Xian, was planning to attack Huan Xuan. He erected a flagpole at the south gate of Yangzhou, but the one on the east side was difficult to stand up, and it took a long time to make it upright. It was a sign of impending disaster. Yuan Xian was later captured by Xuan."

In the fifth month of the third year, the Hall of Joyous Virtue collapsed. At that time, the emperor was incompetent and showed no regard for talented individuals, so this collapse was seen as a manifestation of divine will. "In the fifth month of the third year, the Hall of Joyous Virtue collapsed. At that time, the emperor was incompetent and had no heart for joyous virtue, so this hall was doomed."

In the fifth month of the ninth year of the Yixi era, the Holy Hall of the National University collapsed. It seemed like the heavens were warning people: the Holy Hall serves as the cornerstone of ritual and music, and its unexplained collapse signified that the country was on the brink of decline. In less than ten years, the emperor abdicated. "In the fifth month of the ninth year of the Yixi era, the Holy Hall of the National University collapsed. It was as if heaven was warning that the Holy Hall, the foundation of ritual and music, collapsed for no reason, indicating the impending decline of the dynasty. In less than ten years, the emperor abdicated."
