The star Zhen colliding with the star Yu Gui also represents a funeral. The appearance of a comet near Tian Shi predicts the arrival of a noble figure. By February of the year 148 AD, Empress Dowager Liang passed away, and Liang Ji became even more arrogant and domineering.
In February of the year 424 AD, Venus was unexpectedly sighted during the day! In the leap month of 432 AD, Venus was sighted during the day again! At that time, the emperor was favoring the palace maid Deng Meng, and the next year, Deng Meng's brother was granted the title Marquis of Nandun. Four years later, Empress Liang passed away, Liang Ji was killed, and Deng Meng was made empress, enjoying boundless favor from that point onward.
In March of the year 461 AD, the Zenith Star retrograded into the Taiwei Palace and left the Left Gate after seventy-four days. In July, Mercury entered the Taiwei Palace and left the Left Gate after eighty days. In August, Mars entered the Taiwei Palace again and left from the Duanmen after twenty-one days. That year, the Luo River swelled to the Jinyuan, and Nanyang also experienced major flooding. Mars remaining in the Taiwei Palace also signifies corrupt officials in power. At that time, the Liang family held power. In September, a daytime meteor appeared, two feet long, and yellow-white in color. In July two years later, Empress Yixian passed away due to depression. General Liang Ji instructed the Taicang magistrate Qin Gong to assassinate the Yilang Bing Zun and also planned to kill the mother of Empress Deng, Lady Xuan. Once the plot was uncovered, Emperor Huan of the Han Dynasty revoked the seals held by Liang Ji and his wife, Lady Shouxiangcheng, and both subsequently took their own lives. Members of the Liang family and the Sun clan faced execution or exile to the frontier. All of these events fulfilled the previous astrological predictions.
In March of the year 161, on a certain day, Mars approached the star Yuguixing. In May, on a certain day, a comet appeared near the star Yingshuxing, slowly moving with a long tail, about five feet long, extending all the way to Xinxing, eventually turning into a comet. Mars approaching Yuguixing signaled the impending execution of a minister. In October of the year 162, Li Su, the Governor of Nanjun, was unable to fend off the barbarian invasion, embezzled over a hundred million in funds, stole the bronze tiger symbol from the prefectural treasury, fled in the face of the enemy, and failed to defend the city; Liyang worshiper Yan Qiao and Chongquan magistrate Peng Liang were both executed for embezzlement, bribery, and wanton killing; Jingzhao Tiger Tooth Captain Song Qian was imprisoned for embezzlement and died in prison. One day in November of the year 164, during the day, Venus was actually seen! At that time, the Deng family's power was at its peak.
In July of the year 1 BC, on the day of Wuchen, the star Chen confronted the star of the year. On the day of August Gengxu, Mars confronted the star Yuguizhi. On the day of Gengshen, the star of the year confronted Xuanyuan. On the day of October Bingchen, Venus confronted the star Fangbei. On the day of Dingmao, Chen confronted the star Tai Bai. Many of her relatives, including Deng Kang, Marquis of Biyang, Deng Wan, Intendant of Henan, Deng Bi, Colonel of the Yueqi, Deng Hui, Marquis of Anyang, Deng De, Supervisor of the Imperial Guard on the Left, Deng Shou, Supervisor of the Imperial Guard on the Right, Deng Tong, Marquis of Kunyang, Deng Bing, Marquis of Yuyang, and Deng Xun, an official, were imprisoned. Deng Wan and Deng Hui were executed, while the others were stripped of their official positions.
To make matters worse, the Inspector of Jingzhou, Zhi, and the Inspector of Jiaozhi, Ge Zhi, were both captured by rebel forces, while the Administrator of Guiyang, Ren Yin, defected to the enemy, and all three were executed. This fulfilled the earlier omens of Mars disturbing the ghosts, truly confirming those ill omens!
On Guixu day in May 168 AD, Venus disturbed the ghosts. On Renwu day, Mars entered the Right Enforcer Constellation of the Taiwei Palace. In the intercalary month of Jiwei, Venus caused disturbances in the front star of the Heart Constellation. On Guixu day in October, Jupiter caused disturbances in the Left Enforcer Constellation. On Wuwu day in November, Jupiter entered the Taiwei Palace and caused disturbances in the Left Enforcer Constellation. On Renchen day in January of the year 169 AD, Jupiter entered the center of the Taiwei Palace and stayed at the main gate for fifty-eight days. On Renxu day in June, Venus moved to the Ghost Constellation. On Yiwei day in July, Mars moved to the center of the Ghost Constellation and caused disturbances. On Xinhai day in September, Mars entered the west gate of the Taiwei Palace and stayed for fifty-eight days. On Gengyin day in January of the year 170 AD, Mars retrograded into the east gate of the Taiwei Palace, stayed in the center for one hundred and one days, and then left the main gate. On Bingxu day in July, Venus appeared prominently in the daytime sky.
These days foretell bad omens: Venus violating the Heart Star and the Carriage and Ghost Star, indicating that court ministers will be executed; Mars entering the Taiwei Palace, indicating that treacherous ministers will hold power; Venus violating the Heart Star foretells war and casualties; Jupiter entering the Taiwei Palace and violating the Left Law Star, indicating that the prime minister will be executed; if Jupiter remains in the Taiwei Palace for fifty days, it foretells a change in the emperor's fortune; Venus and Mars entering the Carriage and Ghost constellations both predict death and funerals, and if they violate the Quality Star again, it means the ministers will be killed; if Mars stays in the Taiwei Palace for one hundred and one days, it foretells a change in the emperor's fortune; the appearance of Venus during the day foretells war, and danger will threaten high-ranking officials.
As predicted, in November 168 AD, Taiyuan Prefect Liu Zhi and Nanyang Prefect Cheng Jin were both executed for killing innocent people, Jingzhou Governor Li Wei was captured by bandits, and Shangshu Lang Meng Xuan was executed for taking bribes and leaking secrets. On the day of Ding Chou in December 170 AD, Emperor Huan of Han passed away, and Grand Tutor Chen Fan, Grand Marshal Dou Wu, Prefect of the Masters of Writing Yin Xun, and Imperial Household Supervisor Shan Bing, among other ministers, were all wrongly executed, which precisely fulfilled the prophecy of Venus violating the Heart constellation and Mars remaining in the Taiwei Palace.
In June of the year 168 AD, Venus was in the west, entering the Taiwei Palace and violating the Western Fan South Head Star. "Taiwei, the celestial court." With Venus moving within it, it predicts that the palace gates will be closed, the generals will be armed, and the ministers will be executed. By August, Grand Tutor Chen Fan and Grand Marshal Dou Wu conspired to eliminate the eunuchs; on the day of Xin Hai in September, Palace Attendant Cao Jie and the Five Officials of Changle discovered their plan, falsely issued an imperial decree, executed Chen Fan and Dou Wu, and exiled their families to Jinan County.
In October of the year 178 AD, Mars moved into the Southern Dipper. The diviners said, "Where Mars stays, there will be chaos." The Southern Dipper corresponds to Wu territory, and sure enough, in November, a bandit named Xu Zhao from Kuaiji (modern-day Shaoxing, Zhejiang) raised an army, claiming to be a great general. Xu Zhao's father was once the King of Yue, and now Xu Zhao led his troops to conquer several counties.
In April of the year 179 AD, a star appeared in the sky, coming from Wen Chang and moving into the Purple Palace constellation, winding forward like a snake with a head and tail but no body, red and shining brightly, illuminating even the walls. On the day of Bing Yin in August, Venus moved in front of that star in front of Xing Su. On the day of Xin Wei, a strip of white silk appeared in the sky, heading straight towards the fourth star of the Big Dipper. The diviners said, "Wen Chang represents generals and high officials. Venus offending the star in front of Xing Su foretells disaster for the ministers." Six years later, Liu He, the Minister of Works, was framed by the eunuch Cao Jie, imprisoned, and died. The white gas heading toward the Big Dipper foretold that a great battle was coming. In the following winter, Zang Min, the Governor of Yangzhou, and Chen Yin, the Prefect of Danyang, jointly attacked the bandit Ju Kang, beheading thousands.
In April of the year 184 AD, on the Gui Chou day, a meteor hit Xuan Yuan the Fourteenth (the second star of Xuan Yuan), then flew northeast, eventually entering the Kuixing of the Big Dipper. In August, another comet appeared, coming out from the north of the Kang constellation, running into the Tian Shi Yuan, initially only a few feet long, but gradually growing to five or six zhang, red in color, moving among more than ten constellations for over eighty days, and finally disappearing near the Tian Yuan star. Diviners interpret the meteor as an envoy, Xuan Yuan the Fourteenth represents the palace, and the Kuixing of the Big Dipper signifies slaughter. The meteor flying from Xuan Yuan the Fourteenth to the Kuixing of the Big Dipper suggests that the emperor's envoy is about to embark on a military campaign, leading to slaughter. In 184 AD, the Yellow Turban Rebellion erupted, and the court sent generals Huangfu Song, Zhu Jun, and others to suppress it, beheading more than one hundred thousand. The comet passing through Tian Shi Yuan indicates that the Heavenly Emperor is about to relocate, signaling a change of capital for the Emperor. In 189 AD, Emperor Xian relocated the capital to Chang'an.
In the winter of the year 186 AD, a comet appeared near the stars Lang and Hu Shi, flying towards the east, disappearing as it reached Zhang Su. Zhang Su corresponds to the Zhou Dynasty, and the comet's invasion of Zhang Su foreshadows chaos in the Zhou Dynasty. Four years later, the court dispatched a large army from the capital to quell the Yellow Turban rebels.
In April of the year 175 AD, Mars stayed in the Palace of Taiwei, motionless, as if guarding something. In July, a comet emerged from the San Tai constellation, flying east past the Palace of Taiwei, then passing by the Prince Star and the Lucky Star before vanishing more than twenty days later. In October, Jupiter, Mars, and Venus converged near the Xu constellation, with a distance of only five or six inches between them, like beads strung together. Diviners claimed, "The appearance of Mars in the Palace of Taiwei predicts that traitorous subjects will cause chaos." During this time, the eunuchs Zhao Zhong, Zhang Rang, Guo Sheng, and Sun Zhang stirred up trouble and committed numerous atrocities. The comet entering the Palace of Taiwei further foretold a change in leadership. In the sixth year of Zhongping (189 AD), the emperor passed away. The convergence of Jupiter, Mars, and Venus near the Xu constellation foretold the sovereign's death. Xu corresponds to the Qi region, and the following year, the King of Langye died.
During the Guanghe era (180-184 AD), a star representing the emperor appeared in the southeast corner, about ten to twenty meters above the ground, resembling a burning torch, disappearing after about ten days. Those who practiced divination said, "The abnormal appearance of the national emperor star predicts internal turmoil, with wars and casualties both internally and externally." Later, the leader of the Yellow Turbans, Zhang Jiao, launched a rebellion, resulting in widespread destruction and chaos across all regions. Later, the Minister of Works, Wang Yun, and the general, Lu Bu, killed Dong Zhuo, leading to his generals Guo Si and Li Jue attacking Chang'an, resulting in the deaths and injuries of nearly ten thousand officials and common people. The chaos in the realm originated from within.
In the tenth month of the year 177 AD, on the day of Guihai, a comet appeared in the Southern Gate constellation. It was very large, about the size of a half-mat, colorful, sometimes bright and sometimes dark, and it did not disappear until the sixth month of the following year. The diviners said, "This heralds a war." In the sixth year of Zhongping, Colonel of the Capital Yuan Shao killed the eunuchs, and Wu Kuang, a general under him, killed the General of Chariots and Cavalry He Miao, resulting in the deaths of several thousand people.
In April of the year 178 AD, Mars moved in retrograde motion from the Kui constellation into the Purple Palace. On the day of Wuwu in October, the moon obscured the star behind the Heart constellation. The diviners said, "This foretells a significant death." Three years later, the Ling Emperor indeed died.
In February of the year 145 AD, a comet appeared in the sky, moving in retrograde motion from the Kui constellation into the Purple Palace, appearing three more times before disappearing after more than sixty days. On the day of Dingmao in June, another comet appeared, as large as three dippers, moving from the Guansuo constellation towards the southwest into the Heavenly Market Enclosure, disappearing only after reaching the Tail constellation. The diviners said, "The comet sweeping through the Purple Palace signifies a change in rulership; the comet entering the Heavenly Market Enclosure signifies the death of a noble." In the following year in April, the Han Ling Emperor passed away.
During the summer of the Zhongping era, a fire-red meteor appeared, measuring three zhang in length, rising from the Hegu constellation and entering the Heavenly Market Enclosure, colliding with the star of the eunuchs. The eunuch star turned white, measuring two to three zhang in length, with its tail bending twice before disappearing, resembling a curved arrow. The diviners said, "The curved arrow flying towards the palace signifies that the archer is not righteous!" In the sixth year of Zhongping, the Grand General He Jin planned to eradicate all eunuchs, but the eunuchs caught wind of it and killed He Jin in the palace. Both He Jin and the eunuchs faced heavy losses, leading to chaos in the realm.
In the year 147 AD, on the day of Bingyin in August, the planet Venus (Taibai Jinxing) crossed paths with the star Xīn in the Heart constellation, and on the day of Wùchén, it crossed paths with the star Dà in the Heart constellation. Before the clock struck midnight, General Hé Jìn was assassinated by the eunuchs in the palace. On the day of Jǐsì, General Chēqí Hé Miáo was killed by Hé Jìn's subordinate Wú Kuāng.
In the year 190 AD in September, a flag bearing the symbol of Chì Yóu appeared, over ten zhang long and white in color, to the south of Jiǎo and Kàng. Those who divined said: "The appearance of the Chì Yóu flag means that the Emperor will conquer the four directions." Later, Cáo Cāo became Prime Minister and waged war for nearly thirty years.
In the year 193 AD in October, a comet appeared between the two stars in the Jiǎo constellation, moving northeast into Tiānshì Yuán and then disappeared. Those who divined said: "The comet passing through Tiānshì Yuán is set to mean the Heavenly Emperor is set to move, and the Emperor will relocate the capital." At that time, Emperor Xiàn of Hàn was in Cháng'ān; two years later, he moved the capital to Luòyáng, arriving in Luòyáng in July of the following year, and in August, Cáo Cāo welcomed Emperor Xiàn to Xǔdū.
In the year 199 AD on the day of Xīnhài in October, a comet appeared in Dàliáng, in the region of Jìzhōu. At that time, Yuán Shào was in Jìzhōu. In November of that year, Yuán Shào's army was defeated by Cáo Cāo. Seven years later in the summer, Yuán Shào died, and later Cáo Cāo took control of Jìzhōu.
In the year 201 AD in November, a comet appeared in the stars Dōngjǐng and Yúguǐ, entering Xuānyuán and Tàiwēi Yuán. In January of the year 203 AD, a comet appeared in the Big Dipper, with its head in the Dǒu constellation and its tail passing through the Purple Palace, reaching the North Star. Those who interpreted the signs said: "The comet passing through Tàiwēi Palace signifies a change in leadership." Later, Emperor Wén of Wèi, Cáo Pī, usurped the Han Dynasty and proclaimed himself emperor.
In the year 12 AD on the day of Xīnmǎo in October, a comet appeared in the sky near the star Quail's Tail. At that time, the Governor of Jing Province, Liú Biǎo, controlled Jing Province, and Yì Province official Zhōu Qún believed that Liú Biǎo was nearing death and that Jing Province would soon fall. The following autumn, Liú Biǎo did indeed die, and his son Liú Cóng succeeded him. Cáo Cāo planned to attack Jing Province; Liú Cóng was afraid and surrendered to Cáo Cāo with his entire army.
In December 17 CE, a comet appeared near the Five Princes constellation. Zhou Qun said that those who held land would lose their territories. At that time, Liu Zhang, the Governor of Yizhou, was in control of the region, Zhang Lu, the Prefect of Hanzhong, held Hanzhong, Han Sui occupied Liangzhou, and Zong Jian occupied Fang Han. In the winter of the following year, Cao Cao sent troops to attack Liangzhou. In the 19th year of the Common Era, Zong Jian was captured, Han Sui fled to the Qiang people, and later died of illness. That autumn, Liu Zhang lost control of Yizhou. In the autumn of the 20th year of the Common Era, Cao Cao attacked Hanzhong, and Zhang Lu surrendered.

In March 23 CE, a comet appeared in the east for more than twenty days, then appeared in the west at night, passing through the constellations of Wuche, Dongjing, Wuzhuhou, Wenchang, Xuanyuan, Houfei, and Taiwei, with its light pointing directly at the Emperor's throne. Diviners claimed, "This signifies renewal."
In September 146 CE, a meteorite fell in the Chenliu area, a total of four pieces. According to the 16th year of Duke Xi in the Spring and Autumn Annals, it was recorded that five meteorites had also fallen in the Song State, described as falling stars. Dong Zhongshu believed this was a sign of descent from high places. Some believed meteorites symbolized the common people, and their fall indicated that the people would suffer.
On the Guihai day in March 154 CE, a meteorite fell in Youfufeng, and two meteorites fell in Huxian, all producing sounds like thunder.
