Since the beginning of the Yongchu era, the Emperor's virtues have been remarkable, effectively governing the seven ministries, implementing the five codes, ensuring ethical conduct is orderly, spreading education widely, and the royal family's grace is widely felt. A time of peace and prosperity has begun, establishing a stellar reputation, recording the Emperor's achievements, paying homage to the deities, holding grand ceremonies, sustaining the royal family's prosperity, and receiving good blessings.

The rituals are complete, the music is harmonious, the golden and stone instruments play together, the feather adornments are splendid, surpassing the music of "Wu" and "Huo" in grandeur, harmonizing like "Xianchi," with continuous praises being sung for the Emperor, as civil and military officials gather together.

The royal way is just, virtues are good, stabilizing the four directions, making the world peaceful, promoting courtesy, transforming customs to create unity, singing the praises of this prosperous era, celebrating success, and singing praises for the Emperor's achievements that will be remembered forever.

Wow, this piece captures the grandeur of ancient palace ceremonies! A total of ten pieces were performed, with the Huangzhong and Taicu ensembles alternating their performances. The Huangzhong ensemble performed five pieces: "Chen Xi," "Ti Zhihe," "Wang Dao," "Kai Yuan Chen," "Li You Rong"; and the Taicu ensemble performed five pieces: "Wu Yu," "Huai Huang Yi," "Huang You Ji," "Wei Yong Chu," "Wang Dao Chun."

Next are the lyrics of the first dance, and they are truly magnificent! "Yu He Jingming, Tian Jian is upon us," look at this opening, so majestic! It means that the sky is radiant, as if the heavens are watching! The following describes the scene of the performance: "Ting lie Gong Xian, Bi Luo Se Qin," the palace is filled with musical instruments, all arranged neatly; "Dao Yue Fan Hui, Sheng Qing Xie Yin," various instruments play in concert, producing a harmonious and unified sound. "Xiao Shao" is ancient, but ninety percent is present; even though "Xiao Shao" is an ancient piece, today’s performance has achieved a remarkable level. "Dao Zhi He Sheng, De Yin Kong Xuan," the music conveys the highest moral values, and the sound of virtue resonates far and wide; how beautiful! In the last few sentences, "Guang Wo Di Ji, Xie Ling Pei Qian," praises the emperor’s virtues, resonating with the heavens; "Yi Xing Liu He, Hua Mu Zi Ran," his reign brings peace to the realm, fostering a natural harmony; "Ru Bi Yun Han, Wei Zhang Yu Tian," like the clouds in the sky, radiant and bright; "Xi Xi Wan Lei, Tao He Dang Nian," the people are basking in a time of peace and prosperity; "Ji Yuan Zhong Shao, Yong Shi Fu Qian," as they play the "Shao" music, this era of prosperity will endure forever!

"With utmost respect towards the deities, the emperor's celebration receives blessings from above."

The sacrificial ceremony was both solemn and grand. Look at those sacrificial personnel, each dressed impeccably, their movements standardized and expressions respectful, truly "respectful and dignified, radiant and clear. Respectful to the gods, abundant sacrifices." The entire palace was solemn and dignified, "solemn and strict palace, kind and high base," the atmosphere was so grave that it left everyone breathless. Praying for divine blessings and for the prosperity and peace of the nation, "the royal spirit descends, all the sacrifices are in place." Preparations began in the evening and continued until the next morning, everyone participated earnestly in the sacrificial rites, "sincerely watching the night, orderly in the morning. According to the dawn, looking for the light in the sky." This grand sacrificial ceremony is indeed a harbinger of good fortune, "great blessings, good recommendations. Assisting the emperor's bright virtues, eternal blessings flow."

Next, the sacrificial animals are presented. Singing the "Ritual Music for Offering Livestock": "We offer pure food, we offer filial piety to the spirits. We respectfully purify the sacrificial animals. The horses are noble and pure, overflowing with abundance. To honor the ancestral sacrifices and to solemnize the imperial spirit. The fragrance of the sacrifices rises in all directions, the splendid fire is passed around. The divine monitor is bright, praising the gentle sacrificial animals." This song expresses respect for ancestors and devotion to the sacrificial activities. The offerings are abundant, the ceremonies are grand, expressing filial piety towards ancestors.

Next, the offerings are presented with the "Jiajian Music": "Establishing the sacrificial ceremony, all the rites are observed. The six rites are embellished with inscriptions, the nine officials are arranged in order. The sacrificial animals are noble and pure, the rites are solemn and displayed. Respectfully cleanse and purify, venerate the spirits. Adding the trays and the stands, the offerings are heavy. The ceremony is vibrant and harmonious, the sound flows like a golden river. Bright and splendid, dignified and strict. Pure and sincere in the evening, upright and bright in the morning. The divine spirits are present, supporting our emperor. Above, the four corners of the earth, below, the myriad nations. Forever speaking of filial offerings, filial offerings with grace. The ministers and officials praise, solemn and respectful." The song portrays the solemnity and grandeur of the sacrificial rituals, expressing awe and supplication to the divine spirits.

Then, welcoming the gods, the grand "Shaohua Music" is played: "The palace is dim, the hall is softly lit. The jade glows with clarity, the torches and gems are bright. The divine banners are solemn, the jade hall is fragrant. The round fire shines in the evening, the square water is clear in the morning. Golden branches lean on the trees, emerald ornaments stand in rows. The waves are calm at night, the Milky Way floats in the sky. The rituals are performed with reverence, the hearts are devout. Looking up to the imperial spirits, bowing down to seek blessings." The music is melodious, as if the divine spirits have already descended.

Finally, the emperor enters the temple and plays the "Yongzhile Music": "The imperial radiance is bright, filial grace shines forth. The phoenix feathers flutter, brushing against the Han River. The night is auspicious, the morning is peaceful. Walking through a golden landscape, stepping to the jade breeze of 'Shao'. Following the ritual, reverently offering sacrifices." This music symbolizes the emperor's devotion and respect for ancestors.

The Taizhu chanted two chapters of songs loudly at the sacrificial site, (the content of the songs is omitted here, to be supplemented later), and the ceremony ended. The entire sacrificial process was both solemn and grand, orderly, and reflected the grandeur and norms of ancient sacrificial rituals.

This sacrificial ceremony was to express respect and filial piety to the Empress Dowager, with the ritual being meticulous and the words extremely sincere. Fine wine and offerings expressed our most sincere respect, praying for the blessings of the deities. The singing was melodious and the music harmonious; the entire sacrificial process was solemn and grand, expressing the emperor's reverence and filial piety towards his ancestors, and also reflecting the harmonious communication between humans and deities. It truly showcased great filial piety, moving the heavens, earth, and deities!

Finally, the emperor accepted the blessing wine at the eastern wall and performed the "Jiashi" music and dance:

The emerald canopy shines brightly, enveloping the emperor in brilliance. The jade reins come to a standstill, and the golden carriage stands silent, as if listening to something.

With sincere filial piety, I feel a deep sense of solemnity and respect. Reflecting on the late emperor's legacy, I aspire to inherit his noble virtues. May the blessings of the gods be abundant, and the harmony of the seasons prevail. Looking up to the emperor's emblem, bowing down to all living beings.
