In December of the year 420 AD, the moon moved to the Southern Dipper constellation. The divination said, "The ministers will worry." Three years later, in July, Prince of Changsha died; Suolu attacked Qingzhou and Sizhou again, and the court sent troops once more to provide assistance.

In June of the year 421 AD, during the day, Venus was sighted unexpectedly! The divination said, "There will be war and funerals, and the ministers will gain power." Three years later in May, the emperor died, and the court sent troops to rescue Qingzhou and Sizhou. Later, Xu Xianzhi and others gained control, fulfilling the prophecy that "the ministers would gain power." In June of the year 421 AD, Mars invaded the Di constellation, and a few days later, it invaded the Fang constellation. The divination said, "The Di constellation represents the imperial palace, the Fang constellation symbolizes the court; the emperor would be in danger. The Fang constellation also symbolizes the generals, and the generals would also be in danger. The Di and Fang constellations also correspond to Yanzhou and Yuzhou." Three years later in May, the emperor died; in July, the Prince of Changsha, who governed Yanzhou, died; in the first year of the Jingping era (423 AD), the Prince of Luling, who governed Yuzhou, was also overthrown. In October of the year 421 AD, Venus invaded the Kang constellation. The Kang constellation corresponds to Yanzhou and Zhengdi. The divination said, "The appearance of a major star signifies a large-scale war; the conjunction of Venus and Saturn signals impending internal strife." As a result, Yanzhou fell, and Hulao Pass was captured as well. On the fourteenth day of the first month of the third year of the Yongchu era, the moon covered the Southern Dipper star, and the divination result matched that of the first year of the Jianyuan era, both predicting that "a female ruler would be in power." On the eighth day of the second month, stars appeared near the Xuwu constellation, directed towards the Hejin star and passing by the Hegu star. The divination said, "There will be war and loss of life." In May, the empress dowager died.

In the second year, the court dispatched troops to aid Qingzhou and Sizhou. In the second month, Empress Dowager Xiao died. On the twenty-seventh day of the second month in the third year of Yongchu, the star Kang was in a celestial event. The divination foretold: "Princes will lose their lands, and the populace will flee in droves." Another interpretation suggested: "Court ministers will rebel. The star Kang corresponds to Yanzhou and also symbolizes the state of Zheng." That year, Suotou attacked and surrounded Sizhou and Yanzhou. Xu Yan, the governor of Yanzhou, abandoned resistance and fled in defeat, while Mao Dezhu, the governor of Sizhou, defended the city but was eventually captured. Most officials and civilians along the Yellow River suffered from plunder.

On the twenty-seventh day of the third month of Yongchu, the moon obscured the Southern Dipper star, with divination results similar to those of the first month. On the twentieth day of the fifth month, the moon obscured the Xuanyuan star. The divination indicated: "A female ruler will take command." On the sixth day of the sixth month, the moon obscured the Fang star. The divination warned: "Generals will encounter troubles, and Yuzhou will face disasters." On the eighteenth day of the sixth month, the moon obscured the Sui star within the Miao constellation. The divination warned: "Zhao and Wei will descend into chaos, facing food shortages." That year, enemy troops attacked the three provinces of Qingzhou, Yanzhou, and Sizhou. Prince Yizhen of Luling was deposed, ruling over Yuzhou. In the second month, Empress Dowager Xiao died. In the third year of Yuanjia, Minister Xu Xianzhi and others were executed.

On the twentieth day of the ninth month in the third year of Yongchu, Mars traversed the Taiwei Palace and transgressed against the Left Law star. On the twenty-sixth day of the ninth month, Mars violated the Right Law star, with divination results mirroring those before. On the twentieth day of the tenth month, Venus violated the Southern Dipper star. The divination warned: "The nation will confront war, and ministers will revolt." On the sixth day of the tenth month, Mars violated the Jin Xian star. The divination said: "Officials in charge of Jin Xian will be killed." In the following year, the court dispatched troops to aid Qingzhou and Sizhou. In the second year of Jingping, Xu Xianzhi and his associates deposed the emperor and established a new ruler. In the third year of Yuanjia, Xu Xianzhi, Fu Liang, and Xie Hui were executed.

In the third year of Yongchu, on the fourteenth day of the eleventh month, a star appeared near the wall of the room constellation. The divination foretold, "There will be war and loss of life." The following year, the court sent troops to rescue Qingzhou and Sizhou. In the second month, Empress Dowager Xiao died. The camp symbolizes the inner palace. In the third year of Yongchu, on the nineteenth day of the eleventh month, the moon covered Kangxiu and Dixiu. Divination said, "The country will face troubles." On the twenty-eighth day of the twelfth month, Mars transgressed the Fangxiu. Fangxiu represents the Mingtang, and the emperor disdained this star transgression. Another interpretation is, "Generals will face troubles." In the second year of Jingping, Xu Xianzhi and others deposed the emperor and killed him. In the third year of Yuanjia, Xu Xianzhi and others were executed.

In the year 465 AD, in early January, near the east wall star in the eastern sky, a white comet appeared, over twenty feet long, sweeping past the Tianyuan constellation, and it disappeared after twenty days. Two months later, Empress Dowager Xiao passed away. On a certain day in October, a comet appeared north of Dixiu, with a tail over four yards long, pointing northwest, passing through the Sheti star, moving towards the direction of Dajiao star, growing six to seven feet every day, and it disappeared after more than ten days. In the second year of May, Emperor Liu Ziye of the Song Dynasty was deposed.

In October 424 AD, Mars transgressed the Xinxu. In early January 426 AD, a black cloud appeared in the southeast direction of the sky, one yard wide and over ten yards long. In May 429 AD, Venus was visible during the day, traversing the sky. In March 430 AD, Venus transgressed the Suixing in the Kui constellation. In June, Mars transgressed the Dongjing and Yuguixing constellations, entering the Xuanyuan constellation. The moon also transgressed the Suixing. On a certain day in November, a red and black cloud appeared in the southwest direction, three feet wide and over thirty yards long, shaped like a flag. On a certain day in December, a meteor, with a head resembling a large water tank, a tail over twenty yards long, and as large as a boat, red in color, shining, flew from the west over the north side of Kui constellation to the south of the large star in the eastern sky. That year, the Suolu invaded Qingzhou and Sizhou, killed the governor, and plundered the people. The court dispatched Grand General Tandaoji to quell the invasion, and he returned a year later.

In April of the year 431 AD, Venus was visible during the day in the Stomach constellation. In May, Venus clashed with the Tian Guan and Dong Jing constellations. One day in June, Mars entered the Dong Jing constellation. In July, a white rainbow appeared in the western sky at night. On a certain day, Venus entered the Shang Jiang constellation. In August, Venus entered the right arm of the Tai Wei Yuan, clashing with the Zu Zhi Fa constellation. On a certain day, Mars entered the Ji Shi constellation. In September, a meteor, as big as a bushel, red in color, appeared from the west side of Tai Wei Yuan, flying northward, disappearing before reaching the Big Dipper, with a lingering glow lasting about three zhang. In October, Venus and Saturn clashed in the constellation of Virgo, with the moon covering the Tian Guan and Dong Jing constellations. In December, the moon also clashed with the Fang and Gou Qian constellations. In the year 431 AD, the Qiu Chi Di tribe invaded Han Zhong, and Liangzhou was lost.

In January of the year 432 AD, on the day of Geng Wu, Mars entered the Yu Gui constellation. In March, the moon clashed with the Xuan Yuan constellation. In April, the moon clashed with the Zuo Jiao star, and Jupiter entered the Yu Lin constellation. The moon also clashed with the Fang and Gou Qian constellations. On the day of Ji Chou, Venus entered the Ji Shi constellation. In May, the moon clashed with the Xuan Yuan constellation, also covering the sixth star of the Southern Dipper constellation. On the day of Xin You, Mars entered the right arm of Tai Wei, violating the right Zu Zhi Fa constellation. On the day of Bing Wu in July, the moon eclipsed the Zuo Jiao star. On the day of Gui Wei in August, Venus clashed with the Front Star of the Heart. On the day of Yi You, Venus clashed with the Bright Hall Star of the Heart. In October of the year 433 AD, a meteor appeared, as large as a water jug, with a tail extending more than twenty zhang. In February of the year 434 AD, on the day of Geng Zi, the moon clashed with the Bi constellation, passing through the cluster of stars in Bi, affecting the Pleiades, Bi, as well as the western side up to the Wu Che constellation, and the eastern side up to the Shen constellation. On the day of Bing Chen in March, Venus was visible during the day near the Shen constellation. In the leap month of Wu Yin, Venus clashed with the Five Princes constellation. On the day of Ji Chou, the moon entered the Dong Jing constellation, clashing with Venus. At that time, the Minister of the Interior, Pengcheng Wang Yikang, held absolute power, controlling everything.

In the year 435 AD, on the day of Renxu in May, the moon was in conjunction with the Right Executive star. On the day of Renxu in July, Mars was in conjunction with the Accumulated Remains star and also invaded the General star. On the day of Bingwu in October, the moon was in conjunction with the Right Executive star. On the day of Jiashen in December, Venus was in conjunction with the Feather Forest star. By the year 438 AD, the officials corresponding to the General and Assistant stars had all been killed.

In the year 436 AD, on the day of Gengwu in January, the moon was in conjunction with Mars. In February, the moon was in conjunction with the First Star of Taiwei's Eastern Barbarian. On the day of Xinhai in November, Jupiter was in conjunction with the Accumulated Remains star. On the day of Wuzi in December, Mars entered the Feather Forest star. The following year, the Grand General Yikang of Pengcheng and his associates were all deposed; the captors were all from the Feather Forest Army.

In January of 437 AD, a star appeared near the Well star in the northeast before evening, yellowish-red, about the size of an orange. "Moon is in conjunction with Dongjing." On the day of Dingwei in April, Venus was in conjunction with the Carriage Ghost star. On the day of Bingzi in May, Venus could be seen all day, near the Taiwei star. On the day of Xinmao in July, Jupiter entered the Xuanyuan star. On the day of Gengshen in August, Mars was in conjunction with the General star. On the day of Bingxu in September, Mars was in conjunction with the Left Assistant star. Afterwards, Empress Yuan died, Danyang Yin Liu Zhan was killed, and Shangshu Puye Yin Jingren also died.

In the year 438 AD, on a day in April, the moon blocked the Di star. On another day in October, a meteor appeared in the sky, as big as a duck, flying from the Wenchang star to the Purple Palace, making a sound like thunder. On a day in November, Mars entered the Feather Forest star. A few days later, the moon blocked the Dongjing and Yue stars again. Afterwards, the court executed Liu Zhan of Danyang and others.

In February of the year 439 AD, Jupiter retrograded and was in opposition to the Left Law Star. One day in May, Venus was unexpectedly seen during the day, appearing between the constellation of Wei and the Pleiades. The Moon entered the Feather Forest constellation, Venus was in opposition to the Bi constellation, and Jupiter was in opposition to the Left Law Star. In July, the Moon met with the Filling Star constellation. In August, Venus was in opposition to the Xuanyuan constellation. The following year, Empress Yuan passed away. Mars was in opposition to the Western General star of the Taiwei region, and Venus appeared during the day again, in the Wing constellation. In September, Mars and Venus simultaneously entered the Taiwei region, clashing with each other. Venus was in opposition to the Left Law Star, and Mars was in opposition to the Right Law Star. In October, Jupiter and Mars were in opposition to each other in the Kang constellation. In November, Mars was in opposition to the first star to the north of the Fang constellation. The following year, General Liu Yikang was exiled to Yuzhang, and his associates were executed. The Minister of the Imperial Secretariat and the Governor of Yangzhou, Yin Jingren, also passed away.

In September of the year 442 AD, a comet appeared near the Big Dipper constellation, gradually turning into a comet, and eventually disappearing near the Tianyuan star. On the twenty-fourth day of February in the year 443 AD, a meteor appeared in the sky, as large as a peach, flying from the Tianjin star to the Ziwei Palace star; in a moment, several small meteors appeared, sometimes five, sometimes three, appearing in succession; then a large meteor flew out of the Ziwei Palace star, entering the Beidou Kui star; in a moment, another large meteor appeared, passing through the Guansuo star and the Tian Shi Yan. These meteors all flew north, until dawn, countless. The prophecy regarding the meteors stated: "These are messengers sent by the Emperor." It also said: "The common folk are like stars. Stars flying erratically indicate the dispersal of the people." Until the year 449 AD, northern minority tribes invaded, destroying six states including Qingzhou, Jizhou, Xuzhou, Yanzhou, Nanyanzhou, and Yuzhou, with most of the common people perishing.

In February of the year 445 AD, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter aligned in the Eastern Well constellation. In April, the moon was in conjunction with the Heart constellation, and Venus entered the Xuanyuan constellation. In July, Venus was visible during the day. That winter, the Crown Prince, Chancellor Fan Ye, plotted a rebellion and was subsequently executed.

In January of the year 446 AD, Venus and Mars shone brightly against each other. That month, the Northern Wei invaded Qingzhou and plundered the people. In January of the year 447 AD, the moon again entered the Heart constellation. That night, many stars moved westward, all small in size, the largest no larger than an egg, with tails of varying lengths, estimated to be hundreds of them! They kept moving until dawn, when the sun came out, and one of them even entered the Purple Palace of the Big Dipper. Astrologers proclaimed: "Where the meteor shower falls, armies will gather, and great disasters will occur." They also said: "When many stars move together, it means that generals will rise up together, and where the stars fly to, disasters will happen." They further said: "If the meteor enters the Purple Palace, there will be funerals, along with droughts and floods." Some even said: "If the meteor enters the Big Dipper, a high official will be implicated." There were even those who said: "The meteor represents the common people, the big stars represent the officials, and the small stars represent the ordinary citizens. Their movement together signifies that many people will be displaced." In April, Venus was visible during the day again. In August, General Liu Yiji, the Prince of Hengyang, died; the local tyrant Hu Dan led his clan to raid the counties, resulting in the deaths of the governor and magistrate of Yuzhang.

In January of the year 448 AD, Mars and Mercury entered the Yulin constellation. The moon transgressed against the Year Star, and Venus was visible during the day. It even crossed the sky! In October of the year 449 AD, a comet entered the Tai Wei constellation. In November, a white mist pierced through the Big Dipper. In the summer of the year 450 AD, Venus was once again seen crossing the sky during the day. In September, Venus transgressed against the Year Star. In October, Mars entered the Tai Wei constellation. In May of the year 451 AD, a comet appeared in the Curling Tongue constellation, entered the Tai Wei constellation, approached the Emperor Star, transgressed against the Upper Phase Star, passed through the Screen Star, emerged from the Duanmen constellation, and finally disappeared between the Wing and the Dipper constellations. The Wing and the Dipper constellations are within the range of Jingzhou. During the day, Venus was seen transgressing against the Weeping Star. In the year 453 AD, the prince's use of witchcraft was revealed, resulting in the killing of many ministers in the court. In the year 454 AD, both Jingzhou and Jiangzhou rebelled but were eventually suppressed, resulting in the extermination of entire families. The Curling Tongue constellation symbolizes curses; the appearance of a comet signifies the fulfillment of prophecies. In January of the year 452 AD, Venus was seen crossing the sky during the day again! The following year, a regicide incident occurred in the Eastern Palace. In February of the year 452 AD, a meteor appeared in the sky, as large as the moon, flying westward. That year, Lu Shuang, the Governor of Yuzhou, rebelled and was subsequently killed. On the day of Ren Yin in September of the year 452 AD, Mars encroached upon the Left Law Star. The Minister of the Left, King Hong of Jianping, submitted a request for resignation, but the Emperor did not approve it. On the day of Yi Chou in October of the year 452 AD, Mars encroached upon the Enterprising Star. The Minister of Personnel, Xie Zhuang, also submitted a request for resignation, which was also not approved. On the day of Yi Wei in May of the year 453 AD, Mars entered the Southern Dipper constellation. In October, on the day of Jia Chen, Mars once again entered the Southern Dipper. In the summer of the year 454 AD, a plague erupted in the capital.

In the year 454 AD, on the 5th day of the 4th month, Venus invaded the star of the Public and the Ghost. The divination result was: "The common people will suffer from various illnesses." The following summer, the capital indeed faced an outbreak of plague. On the 6th day of the 8th month in the year 454 AD, Venus entered the Heart constellation. The divination result was: "Nine years later, a severe famine will strike." Indeed, in the year 463 AD, a severe famine struck the eastern region, and around seventy to eighty percent of the populace perished.

On the 7th day of the 3rd month in the year 454 AD, Venus was positioned to the south of the Kui constellation, invading Jupiter. The divination result was: "There will be princes who will be destroyed." Three years later, Sikong Jingling Wang led a rebellion and was ultimately executed. On the 9th day of the 6th month in the year 454 AD, the moon obscured Mars. The divination result was: "The general will face troubles, but it will not exceed three years." Three years later, Sikong Jingling Wang indeed rebelled.

On the 8th day of the 3rd month in the year 455 AD, Mars entered the Eastern Well constellation. On the 9th day of the 4th month, Mars invaded the second star of the Northern Xuan Yuan in the Eastern Well constellation. The Eastern Well constellation represents the region of Yongzhou. In that April, Prince Huiling Xiumao was appointed as the governor of Yongzhou. Five years later, Xiumao rebelled and was eventually killed. On the 9th day of the 7th month in the year 455 AD, the moon obscured the second star of the Northern Xuan Yuan. On the 10th day of the 10th month, the moon obscured the star of the Northern Xuan Yuan. On the 11th day of the 11th month, the moon once again obscured the star of the Northern Xuan Yuan. The Northern Xuan Yuan constellation represents the empress. At that time, there were rumors among the common people about the questionable conduct in the emperor's harem. On the 12th day of the 11th month in the year 455 AD, Mars invaded the stars of the Room and Hook. On the 1st day of the 12th month, Mars invaded the Hook star again. The divination result was: "There will be war." That year, the Suolu forces invaded Lixia, and the court sent the imperial guards to suppress them, eventually defeating them.

In the 3rd year of the Daming period, on the 1st day of the 1st month, in the evening, there were thin clouds in the sky, and red gas appeared everywhere, about three to four feet long, appearing and disappearing alternately, until they all disappeared. The divination foretold that this was the Tunnel Star, also known as the Knife Star, foretelling war and bloodshed across the land. The moon entered the Taiwei Palace, violating the Second General star. The divination foretold: "A traitor will die and face execution."

In March, the moon was in opposition to the Fangxiu constellation, violating the Hook and Chain star, and a lunar eclipse occurred. The divination said, "The ruler detests this matter, the general will die." In March, Saturn entered the Cowherd constellation. The divination said, "The nobleman will become ill, wars will erupt, there will be a general amnesty, and treacherous officials are plotting to assassinate the ruler." In April, the moon violated the Five Princes star. The divination said, "The princes will be executed." Venus and Mercury converged in the west. The divination said, "Wars will erupt." In May, Saturn violated the Eastern Well star. The divination said, "Axes and cleavers will be wielded, and high officials will be executed." In June, the moon moved into the Southern Dipper constellation. The divination said, "High officials and generals will be executed."

The Governor of Nan Yan Prefecture, Prince Jingling, this kid actually rebelled in Guangling! The court quickly sent Grand General Shen Qingzhi with the elite Feather Forest Army, along with the armies of Governors Zong Que of Yuzhou and Liu Daolong of Xuzhou, to engage in battle. As a result, the city was overrun, and everyone inside, regardless of age or gender, monks, and nuns, were all killed, not a single person was left! Even more horrifying, General Zong Yue actually resorted to brutal torture, first by gutting them, then by poking their eyes, or whipping their faces and stomachs, pouring bitter wine into their wounds, and finally sawing them to death. This is truly a manifestation of those celestial signs!

In August, the moon was in conjunction with Tai Bai star, and Tai Bai star was in conjunction with Fang Xiu. The divination said: "The monarch will face difficulties; the emperor is displeased with this." Mars is positioned in Bi Xiu. The divination said: "The people will face famine; there will be a large-scale war." In September, Tai Bai star was in conjunction with Nan Dou star. The divination said: "There are rebellious officials among the ministers." In September, the moon eclipsed Wei Xiu, and then was in conjunction with Mars in Mao Xiu. The divination said: "There will be a war; the queen will bear the consequences; the monarch detests this matter." Another interpretation suggests: "The queen is troubled; the king is fated to die; the people will face famine." In October, Tai Bai star was in conjunction with the Weeping star. The divination said: "The monarch will have cause for sorrow." Since then, many within the harem died, the princess also passed away, and the emperor has been immersed in sorrow. That year was a severe drought, and the people faced starvation. In the fourth year of the Ming Dynasty, in January, the moon eclipsed Di Xiu. The astrologer proclaimed: "A great general is going to die." It also was in conjunction with the second star north of Fang Xiu. The astrologer proclaimed: "There will be treacherous officials conspiring against their ruler." These are all ominous signs; it seems that a great calamity is on the horizon.

In February, a red vapor appeared, over a foot long, north of the Emperor's Throne (constellation) of Venus. The diviners said, "There will be a war, and the ministers will conspire to rebel." This red vapor is quite unsettling, and the omen is too obvious. In May, the moon entered the Emperor's Microcosm (constellation). The diviners said, "There will be traitors rebelling, and the ministers will die." It feels like one crisis after another, and the country feels like it's going to be in chaos. In June, Venus transgressed the Well constellation. The diviners said, "There will be a war, and the ministers will face execution by axe." The moon also transgressed the constellation in front of the Heart. The diviners said, "There will be treacherous ministers, and the prince will dislike them." The moon also entered the Chief Star of the Southern Dipper. The diviners said, "The adults will worry, and the queen (empress or empress dowager) will dislike them." This moon is far too restless, darting around everywhere, indicating various bad things. In July, Jupiter transgressed the Accumulated Corpses (constellation). The diviners said, "The ministers will be executed." These consecutive ominous signs are truly frightening. In December, the moon transgressed the major star in the center of the Heart. The diviners said, "The adults will worry." As the year draws to a close, unrest still looms. In December, clouds appeared in the sky, stretching from the west to the northeast, in eight places, each four feet long, flickering and gradually disappearing. The diviners said, "There will be a war in the world." These clouds appear eerie and foreboding. In December, the moon also transgressed the constellation northeast of the Winnowing Basket, and the diviners said, "The queen will dislike them." This moon is certainly stirring up trouble everywhere. The next year, the Governor of Yongzhou, Prince Xiumao, indeed staged a rebellion. Venus transgressed the Eastern Well, which serves as a clear omen of the Yongzhou uprising! It appears that these predictions were indeed spot on, confirming the previous prophecies.

In the fifth year of the reign of the Ming Dynasty, in the first month, the year started off ominously. The astrologers declared, "Oh, this is a sign that a high official will be executed, the emperor will have bad luck, and the treasures in the imperial treasury will be squandered!" In that month, the moon even passed by the Kuixing star in the Southern Dipper. The astrologers declared again, "Oh dear, this is a sign that disaster will strike the nobles, and war will break out in the world!" Mars and Saturn appeared near the Weaving Maiden star at the same time. The astrologers said, "Oh, this is a sign that the empress is in for misfortune!" In the third month, the moon covered the Xuanyuan star. "The empress is in for misfortune!" the astrologers declared again. That night, countless shooting stars lit up the sky, some long, some short, some thick, some thin, all flying together towards the west, not stopping until dawn. The astrologers said, "Oh, this is a sign that the emperor will have bad luck, and the common folk will be uprooted!" In the fourth month, Venus crossed paths with the Dongjing and Beiyuan stars. "The high officials are going to rebel; there will be a rebellion!" Venus also crossed paths with the Yuguixing star. "The high officials are destined for execution, there will be a rebellion, and the emperor will have bad luck!"

In June, a massive white meteor appeared, resembling a bowl, bursting forth from Wang Liangxing and flying southwest, eventually landing in the Tian Shi star, its tail stretching dozens of zhang long, and still shining for a long time after falling. In November, the moon obscured the Xinxu Qian star, also aligning with a major star. "Those in power will face misfortune, there will be wars, and a severe drought!" In December, Venus aligned with the Xi Jian Zhongyang star. "Ministers are going to plot against each other!" The moon aligned with the Zuo Jiao star. "The emperor will have bad luck!" In the following three years, Emperor Xiaowu and Empress Wenmu passed away successively; within a year of his ascension, the new emperor executed all the prime ministers and generals, and even harmed court officials, bringing disaster upon the royal family, and ultimately met a tragic end himself. In May, the moon moved to the Zhang constellation and also entered the Taiwei Yuan, clashing with Mars. The divination said, "The ruler will feel restless, and the empress will be concerned." Mars clashed with Jupiter in the Yi constellation. The divination said, "There will be famine and drought, and court officials and ministers will conspire." A star appeared in the sky, red in front and white in the back, the size of a bowl, with a tail over ten zhang long, appearing from the north side of the eastern wall constellation and moving westward, vanishing into the Tian Shi Yuan, emitting a chirping sound. The divination said, "There will be war where this star appears, and chaos will reign." The moon covered the Seven Sisters. The divination said, "High officials will be killed, the emperor will defeat the Xiongnu, and the Xiongnu king will die." The year star clashed with the General Star. The divination said, "The assistant minister will be killed, and the general will worry." In June, the moon entered the Taiwei Yuan, clashing with the star of Right Law. The divination said, "The ruler will feel restless, the country will be in great fear, and it will be unfavorable to the emperor; the law minister will be killed." The moon also clashed with the star behind the Heart constellation. The divination said, "The emperor's sons will face misfortune." In July, the moon clashed with the Ji constellation. The divination said, "The empress will have bad luck." In August, the moon entered the South Dou Kui constellation. The divination said, "Ministers will be killed, punishments will be administered, and disasters will occur in Wu and Yue regions." In the second year, there was a severe drought in Yangzhou and South Xuzhou, crops failed, and the common people starved or fled for their lives. In the first month of the seventh year of the Ming Dynasty, in the evening with thin clouds in the sky, eight colors of gas appeared, pale and stretching twenty to thirty meters long, appearing and disappearing suddenly, known as the "knife star." The divination foretold: "A war will break out across the land." In the third month, the moon passed over the star in the Heart constellation. In the eighth year of the reign of Emperor Ming, in the first month, the moon covered the Yuguixing. The diviners said, "A high official will be killed." The moon then moved to the Kui star in the Southern Dipper, covering the second star. The diviners said, "High officials will be worried, and the empress will be angry."

In the second month, the moon transgressed the fourth star of the Southern Dipper and entered the Kui star. The diviners said, "High officials will be worried, the empress will bear the blame, and disaster will strike the Yuzhang region." In the fourth month, the moon entered the Kui star of the Southern Dipper, violating the third star. The diviners said, "High officials will be worried, the empress will be angry, and the Danyang region will be held responsible." Venus entered the Dongjing constellation, then the Taiwei constellation, violating the Enforcer star. The diviners said, "Enforcement officials will be killed, close ministers will rebel, and the country will be in turmoil."

In the sixth month, the Year Star transgressed the Di constellation. The diviners said, "There will be a great famine this year." A shooting star appeared in the sky, about the size of a large wine cup, glowing red, illuminating faces, with a tail more than ten feet long, flying from the north-east of the Can constellation, passing through the Dongjing constellation, crossing the Nanhe constellation, and then disappearing. The diviners said, "The people will go hungry, there will be war in the Wu and Yue regions." In the seventh month, the Year Star entered the Di constellation. In October, Venus stayed in the Fang constellation. The diviners said, "There will be war, and a great funeral." The moon obscured and devoured the Fang constellation. The diviners said, "There will be a funeral, and a great famine."

After that, many major events did indeed occur. Yan Shibai, the magistrate of Danyang, and Prince Shang of Yuzhang both died. The following year, Empress Zhao passed away, rebellions erupted in various regions, and the imperial army launched a combined land and naval campaign against the rebels. Large-scale battles broke out in Yixing and Jinling counties, with casualties numbering in the thousands.

In the first month of the year 465 AD, on the night when Venus covered Altair, "Venus covers Altair, Altair, separated." On the gengshen day of that month, the moon entered the Xu constellation and also clashed with Jupiter, "Moon in Xu, clashes with Jupiter. Xu, gathers the earth." In the second month, the moon entered the Southern Dipper, "Moon enters the Southern Dipper. The Southern Dipper, a division of Yangzhou, also represents noble officials." In the third month, the moon entered the Yǔguǐ constellation and clashed with Antares, "Moon enters the Yǔguǐ, clashes with Antares. Yǔguǐ, signifies execution." In the sixth month, Mars entered the Taiwei, "On the gengwu day of the sixth month, Mars enters the Taiwei. The Taiwei, division of Yongzhou." On the renwu day of this month, a large meteor appeared, red in the front and white in the back, flying into the Purple Palace, "In the month of renwu, a large meteor appeared, red in front and white in the back, entering the Purple Palace." In that year, the Grand Minister Jiangxia Wang Yigong, the Prefect of the Masters of Writing Liu Yuanjing, and the Prefect of the Masters of Writing Yan Shibai were all executed. The Grand Commandant Shen Qingzhi died. Prince of Luling Liu Jingxian, Prince of Nanping Liu Jingyou, and Marquis of Nan'an Liu Jingyuan were all put to death. The deposed emperor was also executed. In the second year, the Governor of Kuaiji Xunyang Wang Zifang, the Prefect of Guangzhou Yuan Tianyuan, the Prefect of Yongzhou Yuan Yi, and the Prefect of Qingzhou Shen Wenshu all rebelled. Empress Dowager Zhao passed away.

On a certain day in December of the year 466 AD, Venus entered the Feather Forest. "In the first year of Emperor Ming's Taishi era, on the Jisi day in December, the Bright White Star entered the Feather Forest. The divination said: 'The Feather Forest troops are on the move.'" On the day of Yihai, a white vapor entered the Ziwei Palace. "On the day of Yihai, the white vapor entered the Ziwei Palace. It signifies that there will be a funeral." On the fifteenth day of the first month in 266 AD, Mars retrograded in the southwest of the constellation Pyxis. The divination stated, "There will be war in the country." The divination stated, "This is an unfavorable omen for female rulers." On the twenty-third day of the same month, the moon crossed into the Carriage and Ghost constellation. The divination stated, "The general will die." On the twenty-seventh day of the same month, a meteor flew out from the Five Chariots and disappeared to the west of the Purple Palace. The divination stated, "There will be war." On the twenty-ninth day of the same month, a black mist pierced through the constellations. The divination stated, "A noble will die." On the sixth day of the third lunar month, many different-sized meteors flew westward, too numerous to count, until dawn. The divination stated, "This is a sign of the people's exile." On the fifth day of the fourth month, Mars entered the Taiwei constellation, crossing into the Right Law Star. The moon was in the Bingzi day, and the Year Star was visible in the middle of the Southern Dipper during the day. The divination stated, "The country will face war and suffer a great defeat." On the eighth day of the same month, hundreds of meteors flew southwest all night, one of which was as big as a bowl, with a tail over ten feet long, black in color, flying out from the River Drum constellation. The divination stated, "There will be war." On the eleventh day of the same month, Venus and the moon appeared simultaneously in the east, conflicting with each other. The divination stated, "There will be military losses, generals will perish, and rulers will lose their lands." On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, the moon crossed into the Heart constellation. The Heart constellation marks the boundary of Song territory. On the seventeenth day of the same month, the moon crossed into the Southern Dipper constellation. The divination stated, "The ministers will face execution." On the twenty-second day of the same month, Mars crossed into the Di constellation. The Di constellation is the boundary of the Yanzhou territory. On the tenth day of the tenth month, Venus entered the Di constellation. The divination stated, "Grain will be expensive in the spring." On the twelfth day of the eleventh month, Venus crossed into the Room constellation. The divination stated, "Cattle will die in large numbers." In that year, rebellions broke out in all directions, and civil war erupted in the country. The court dispatched six armies to suppress the rebellions. Empress Zhao passed away. General Yin Xiaozu was killed by rebel forces in the south. The Right Supervisor Cai Xingzong requested to resign because Mars crossed into the Right Law Star, but his request was not approved. In September, the rebellions across the country were quelled, with many rebel forces surrendering. However, the territory of the four provinces in the north of the Huai River was lost, and Pengcheng and Yanzhou were occupied by the enemy, fulfilling the prophecy of the people's exile. Pengcheng is the territory of the Song state. That spring, grain prices soared, leaving the people starving. The following year, a large number of cattle fell ill and died, prompting the court to halt all cattle slaughter.

In the year 267 AD, on the fourth day of the sixth month, the moon crossed the Dongjing star. The divination said, "A general is going to die." Mars crossed the Yuguixing star. The divination said, "Money will be scattered." It was also said, "Within sixty days, there will be a general amnesty." On August 22nd, the emperor rewarded the clothes, jewelry, and other items of the empress to the soldiers heading north for the expedition. In the second year of February, the military guard Wang Xuanmo passed away.

In June of the year 268 AD, the celestial phenomenon indicated that the Taibai star was in conflict with the Yuguixing star. The divination result was, "The common people will fall gravely ill, and there will be no one to bury the dead." Sure enough, that year a nationwide plague broke out, causing countless deaths and injuries. It was truly heartbreaking!

In February of the year 269 AD, the moon was in opposition to the Zuojiao star. The divination said, "Within three years, the emperor will face disaster." In March, the moon was in opposition to the Jian star. The divination said, "A change in prime minister is forthcoming." In October, the moon was in opposition to the Bi star. The divination said, "The emperor will impose strict laws and heavy penalties, and a high-ranking official will die." In the same month, the Taibai star was in opposition to the Kang star. The divination said, "To gather the troops to guard against the north." That winter, Prince Jian'an Sima Xiuren was relieved of his position as the governor of Yangzhou, and Prince Guiyang Sima Xiufan took over. It should be noted that the Governor of Yangzhou position had previously been held by the prime minister, and this prophecy of a "change in prime minister" indeed came to pass! In the year 271 AD, Prince Ping of Jin, Sima Xiuyou, and Prince Jian'an, Sima Xiuren, were both killed. At that time, the northern territories beyond the Huai River were lost, and the court had to station troops to guard against the northern nomadic tribes. Three years later, the emperor passed away.

In January of the year 270 AD, the moon was again in opposition to the Zuojiao star, with the same divination result as before. In August, Mars crossed the Nandou star. The Nandou constellation is associated with the state of Wu. In November, the moon was in opposition to the Dongbei Yuan star. The divination said, "High officials will have bad luck." It was also said, "Someone among the ministers will be killed." Two years later, the Yangzhou governor, Wang Jingwen, was assassinated. The emperor passed away once more.

In the third year of the reign of the deposed Emperor Yuanhui (381 AD), in July, the planet Venus entered the constellation of Jiao Xiu, conjuring bad omens for the year. Divination said: "Jiao Xiu is the gate to heaven; the country will have a war." The divination also said that because Venus and Saturn met in Jiao Xiu, the army would suffer defeat in external battles, and the generals would be killed. In the same month, Venus moved into the Di constellation. The Di constellation represents the emperor's palace, and Venus is an ominous star, indicating military disaster. In August, Venus approached the second star north of the Fang constellation. Divination said: "The emperor has lost his virtue." In September, Venus approached the third star of the Southern Dipper. Divination said: "High officials will face misfortune, and the country will undergo a dynastic change." In October, Saturn entered the Di constellation. Divination said: "The lords or kings may enter the palace." In November, the moon moved into the Taiwei Palace, obscuring the southwestern stars. Divination said: "High officials will lose power." In the fourth year of the reign, in July, Prince Sima Jingsu of Jianping rebelled in Jingkou. At that time, the emperor was decadent and corrupt, and in the fifth year of the reign, in July, he died, and Prince Sima Dezong of Ancheng seized the throne. Three years later, Qi State took over the throne and officially replaced the Jin Dynasty.

On a day in March 464 AD, the moon approached the brightest star north of the Fang constellation and also violated the star Jiebi. The divination revealed: there were ambushing troops within the imperial palace; the emperor could neither leave the palace nor descend, and numerous riots were expected. On a day in September, the star Tian approached the western side of the Taiwei wall. The divination result was: "establish a king," or "move a king," and another interpretation suggested "the great man has worries." At that time, the deposed emperor, Emperor Ming of Song Liu Yu, was unrestrained in his actions and ultimately died because of these divination omens, and Prince Ancheng Liu Yu succeeded to the throne.

In the year 465 AD, on a certain day in the first month, the moon occulted the fifth star of the Southern Dipper. The divination result remained unchanged. On a day in April, Mars occulted the northwest border of the Carriage and Ghost constellation. The divination result was "the ruler has concerns"; disasters are predicted within sixty days, and within six hundred years for the long term. Another interpretation suggests "the monarch will face calamities." On a certain day of the same month, Venus also occulted the northwest border of the Carriage and Ghost constellation. The divination result was "a great pardon." In May, Venus appeared in the south during the day, shining unusually bright. The divination result was "a change of dynasty." In June, the moon occulted the Hook and Line star. The divination result was "there will be major decrees issued." On a certain day of the same month, the moon occulted the fourth star of the Southern Dipper. The divination result remained unchanged. In July, the deposed emperor passed away, and there was a general pardon. Two years later, the Qi dynasty seized power. In August of the year 466 AD, on a certain day, the moon entered the Southern Dipper and occulted the third star, with the divination result remaining unchanged. On a day in September, Venus was in the Wing constellation and appeared in the sky during the day. The divination result was "a change of dynasty." On a certain night in the intercalary twelfth month, the moon occulted the fourth star of the Southern Dipper, with the divination result remaining unchanged.
