Next, let us praise our great emperor, benevolent and wise, renowned for his virtues, radiating as brightly as the sun and moon, as vast as the universe. He emulated the wise emperors of the past, followed the example of the Yellow Emperor, formulated national policies and proclaimed them far and wide.

Civil and military officials, standing in orderly ranks, adorned in splendid attire, awaiting the emperor's audience as dawn broke. The emperor enjoyed delicacies, listened to the wonderful Nine Shao music, and gazed upon the emperor's visage, his virtues shining brightly for all to see.

The ceremony officially begins, and the banquet is being held grandly, with civil and military officials seated in the court with order and decorum. Our emperor, born of heaven, is a wise ruler who has ushered in a prosperous era and welcomed auspicious signs. His reign will be as enduring as the sky and as brilliant as the sun. This golden age will continue forever. There are three chapters of songs in front of the palace, engraved in stone! In the morning, the sunlight bathes the earth, and all things thrive. The celebration of the emperor's three reigns is grand and festive, with music and rituals in abundance. As the New Year begins, the laws and systems are further refined, and subjects from all over come to pay their respects, making the imperial palace a lively place. The harmony between the ruler and his subjects, filled with joy and camaraderie, truly depicts a golden age! Five flags flutter, four city gates open wide, peace prevails through song and dance, continuous ceremonies, the imperial spirit prevails, and the world is at peace. The emperor's virtues are as harmonious as the heavens and the earth, balancing yin and yang, his kindness and gentleness bringing about auspicious signs. Various auspicious signs appear one after another, such as auspicious jade, fine bells, spiritual phoenixes, hidden dragons, along with auspicious stars, sweet dew, intertwined branches, and grains growing together, all heralding the nation's prosperity and flourishing.

It is said that the text praises the emperor's achievements. It begins by mentioning his governance of desolate and remote regions, pacifying the people, and blessed by heaven, leading to peace and loyalty across the realm. "Embracing the outlying tribes, pacifying the people. Bearing the blessings of heaven, all are welcomed. All are welcomed, the reign is prosperous for generations. Illuminating brightness and harmony, prosperity and celebration. Prosperity and celebration, Emperor Xi reigns. Creating harmony, the people rejoice. The three spirits are in harmony, only the new emperor reigns." This emperor follows the royal path, bestows grace widely, is diligent in political affairs, and learns from the teachings of his predecessors. His virtues naturally shine like the changing seasons, sincerely moving heaven and earth, spreading blessings across the land, with all nations returning to his rule. "The royal path reaches all, spreading kindness and virtue. Exploring principles and praising the origin, following the teachings of the emperor. Spiritual transformation like the four seasons, profound sincerity in silence. Virtue and grace cover the eight directions, guiding all nations to peace." Under the rule of this emperor, the world is peaceful, ceremonies are in full bloom, and even the distant tribes have submitted, adopting the attire of the Central Plains. "The emperor's strategies are meticulous, all are prosperous and peaceful. Ceremonies shine in the imperial court, distant tribes wear the foreign attire. Draped in the imperial crown and ceremonial robes, with belts and collars arranged to the left. Heaven and earth are covered, blessings overflow. His teachings spread far and wide, and his virtues shine brightly." During the prosperous Kaiyuan era, vassals come to pay homage, offering music and dance, singing praises of the emperor's achievements, creating a peaceful atmosphere everywhere. "In the Kaiyuan era, all kings come. Offering tributes, attending the imperial court. With jade pendants chiming, they observe the ceremonial rites. Enjoying the king's grace, praising his virtues. Spreading prosperity, wandering in great joy. Shining brightly, forever prosperous."

From the start of the Yongchu era, the emperor's virtues were remarkably evident. He refined various systems, promoted education, ushered in peace across the land, and ensured the people lived in comfort and happiness. "Only in Yongchu, virtues are outstanding. The seven policies of Qi, the five canons are spread. The rites and music are in order, and the royal grace flows, peace begins. The teachings are established, and the emperor's reign is enlightened. The spirits are in harmony, and the sacrifices are conducted with reverence. The blessings are extended, the auspicious signs are received." Numerous grand ceremonies were conducted with great order, and the music performances were excellent, a truly prosperous spectacle. "With proper ceremonies, and music with rituals. Gold and stone are displayed, ivory and feathers are used. The songs of 'Southern Wind' and the dances of virtue are praised. Civil and military talents are flourishing, and the praises are resounding."

The emperor's royal way is pure, his virtues noble, the world enjoys peace, and customs have positively transformed. "The royal way is pure, virtues are refined. The eight directions are peaceful, the nine regions are in harmony. The way of courtesy and humility changes customs. Changes customs, forever harmonious. Singing praises, announcing success. Singing of virtues, boundless." This work comprises ten chapters, expressed through music. There are five chapters in the Huangzhong mode and five chapters in the Taicu mode, each praising different virtues of the emperor. "This includes ten righteous musical chapters. (The Huangzhong and Taicu modes are composed separately. Huangzhong consists of 'Morning Xi', 'Body to Harmony', 'Royal Way', 'Opening the Origin', 'Proper Ceremonies'. Taicu consists of 'Five Jades', 'Embracing the Wild Descendants', 'Royal Mandate', 'Only in Yongchu', 'Pure Royal Way'.)"

The music coming from Yiyang is solemn and dignified, the songs are sung by virtuous people, and the dances are particularly splendid, showcasing their remarkable achievements. A variety of musical instruments are beautifully arranged in the palace, with zithers and lutes harmonizing beautifully, flutes and pipes playing in harmony—what a magnificent spectacle! Although "Xiao Shao" is an ancient composition, it is played today without losing any of its charm! This music and dance reflect the virtues of the king, illuminate the imperial legacy, align with the spirits of heaven and earth, spread education throughout the world, and naturally achieve harmony. Like the vast Milky Way shining above, all things flourish in peace and harmony, just like the times of Yao and Shun. The performance of "Shao" music will echo through the ages!
